The Revere High School Construction Project is one of the most celebrated and architecturally extraordinary public school construction projects in the history of Massachusetts, representing a landmark $233,889,807 MSBA grant-funded investment by the City of Revere in a state-of-the-art new high school that will serve over 2,450 students and revitalize one of the most strategically positioned urban parcels in Greater Boston. Managed by LeftField, LLC as Owner’s Project Manager, designed by internationally acclaimed architecture firm Perkins Eastman, and built by Consigli Construction Co., Inc., the new Revere High School is a 422,600-square-foot facility taking shape on a formerly vacant parcel directly accessible via the MBTA’s Wonderland Station on the Blue Line, making it one of the most transit-accessible new high school campuses under construction in New England and a genuine catalyst for economic revitalization and community investment across the entire North Shore corridor.
The design of the new Revere High School is a genuine architectural statement rooted in place and identity. Perkins Eastman drew inspiration from the natural geography of Revere itself, incorporating the sweeping curves of nearby Revere Beach’s waves and the native wildlife of the local Rumney Marsh into the building’s form and character, ensuring that the school reads not as a generic institutional building but as a deeply Revere building, one that reflects who the city has always been and who it aspires to be. The 422,600-square-foot facility includes advanced academic spaces and updated science labs, a performing arts wing, a 1,000-seat auditorium, a dedicated health and wellness complex serving students and the broader community, JROTC and vocational program spaces, a freshman academy designed to ease the transition into high school, collaborative learning environments equipped with modern technology, and extensive outdoor amenities including multisport athletic fields, tennis courts, outdoor classrooms, and designated drop-off zones. Designed to achieve Net-Zero Ready, Fossil Fuel Free, and Passive House energy standards through triple pane windows, high-performance insulation, a white reflective roof, and subsurface geothermal wells installed beneath the athletic field for renewable heating and cooling, the new Revere High School sets a new benchmark for sustainable public school construction in Massachusetts.
Groundbreaking was held on August 14, 2025, attended by Mayor Patrick M. Keefe Jr., Superintendent Dianne Kelly, Democratic Whip Katherine M. Clark, city and school officials, community leaders, educators, and families, marking the official commencement of active construction that had been building toward this moment since the City of Revere submitted its Statement of Interest to the MSBA in April 2018 and the MSBA Board invited Revere into the Eligibility Period in December 2018. The seven-year journey from Statement of Interest through groundbreaking navigated MSBA Feasibility Study approval in April 2020, OPM procurement from LeftField in October 2020, designer procurement with Perkins Eastman through early 2021, Schematic Design approval in April 2022, a return to Feasibility Study in March 2023 to evaluate building on the existing site, the School Building Committee and City Council vote for the Wonderland site in January 2024, project funding contract with the MSBA in April 2024, Design Development submission in March 2025, and 60% Construction Documents in August 2025, with construction targeting completion by the 2028-2029 school year.
As the Owner’s Project Manager on one of the most high-profile, architecturally ambitious, and sustainability-forward MSBA-funded high school construction projects currently underway in Massachusetts, LeftField needed a professionally designed, construction-phase-ready project website capable of serving as the authoritative digital home for the Revere High School project throughout its full multi-year construction lifecycle, hosting construction updates, design renderings, project timeline milestones, School Building Committee meeting agendas and recordings, MSBA module documentation, ConComm documents, and community FAQ resources for the City of Revere, Revere Public Schools, and the broader Revere community. Our web design and development team built a comprehensive, community-facing construction project website tailored specifically for Owner’s Project Managers, MSBA-funded urban high school construction projects, and public school building committees overseeing landmark, high-complexity, sustainability-certified construction in Massachusetts urban communities, powered by AI-driven digital growth strategies built for the public construction and municipal sector.
