Project Description

The Brockton High School Building Project is one of the most consequential and ambitious public school construction undertakings in the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, representing a transformational investment in the future of Brockton’s students, families, and broader community. Home to approximately 3,640 students, Brockton High School is the largest secondary school in Massachusetts and among the largest public high schools on the entire East Coast, making this project a landmark in public school construction of extraordinary scale, complexity, and civic significance. Managed through the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s CORE grant program and overseen by LeftField, LLC, selected as the Owner’s Project Manager, or OPM, in late 2024, with Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. engaged as the design firm, the project is currently navigating the MSBA Feasibility Study phase, a rigorous 18-to-24-month process during which all design alternatives, whether full renovation, addition, or entirely new construction, will be evaluated, priced, and refined to identify the most cost-effective and educationally appropriate solution for the iconic 584,000-square-foot Brockton High campus at 470 Forest Avenue.

The scale of the challenge is matched by the scale of the opportunity. Opened in 1970 and having served four generations of Brockton students with minimal renovation in over five decades, Brockton High School is more than a school: it is the most utilized community meeting space in the entire City of Brockton, rented more than 3,200 times by community groups in a single nine-month period. A project that could ultimately cost over one billion dollars, with the MSBA contributing up to approximately 80 percent of eligible costs, the Brockton High School Building Project demands the kind of experienced, detail-oriented, and community-centered construction project management that LeftField, LLC has built its professional reputation on. From geotechnical borings and point-cloud building scans and existing conditions assessments currently underway, to multilingual community outreach coordinated through a dedicated community liaison, to MSBA module submissions and School Building Committee meetings that keep the process transparent and accountable, every dimension of this project is being managed with the rigor, care, and strategic foresight that a project of this magnitude deserves.

As the Owner’s Project Manager on one of the most high-profile and complex public school construction projects in Massachusetts, LeftField, LLC needed a transparent, community-facing, and professionally designed project website capable of serving as the central hub of information for the City of Brockton, Brockton Public Schools administration, School Building Committee members, MSBA stakeholders, and the broader Brockton community throughout the multi-year lifecycle of this project. Our web design and development team built a clean, accessible, and information-rich construction project website tailored specifically for Owner’s Project Managers, public construction management firms, municipal school building committees, and MSBA-funded school construction projects in Massachusetts, designed to communicate project milestones, host documents and meeting schedules, support multilingual community engagement, and maintain the kind of open and transparent public record that landmark civic construction projects demand, all powered by AI-driven digital growth strategies built for the public construction and municipal sector.

If you lead a construction project management firm, Owner’s Project Manager practice, general contracting company, public school building committee, or any construction and public sector organization managing large-scale municipal or institutional construction projects and are looking for a web design and digital growth partner that understands the community transparency, stakeholder communication, and document management demands of MSBA and public construction projects in Massachusetts, this project is a compelling example of how expert web development and AI-powered growth services can serve your project’s public communication needs, build community trust, and position your construction management firm as the go-to expert in complex, high-stakes public school construction across the Commonwealth.
